GRANDMONT ROSEDALE— Meijer would like to expand to the old Redford High School on the city's northwest side, but can't due to zoning restrictions. The only way to change the restrictions is to sue the city, which the supermarket chain cannot due while bankruptcy proceedings continue. [WHTC]
BEER HERE— Michigan lawmakers met today to discuss bills that would loosen restrictions on beer making. One bill would allow for larger production from breweries, another would allow brewpubs to own interest in up to three more brewpubs, and a third would allow breweries to serve beer on premises and two locations instead of one.
