Just in case you ever buy groceries and think to yourself, 'Gee, what would really make my cart feel more complete would be some shoes or a shiny new bracelet,' the fine folks at Kroger have heard your internal monologue. The new Kroger Marketplace concept stores are 'three times the size of the average Kroger store,' and feature clothing, furniture and jewelry, along with all that food you've been used to for so long. It sounds a little bit like a Meijer store, but unlike Meijer, there are still no plans to open a Kroger of any kind within the city limits of Detroit. So there's still that. [Freep]
