An unexpected political dust-up at this weekend's rapidly-approaching Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival nearly led leading Michigan craft brewer Bell's Brewery to back out of the boozy celebration. The news that a political group called Protect Michigan Craft Beer Political Action Committee has plans to raise funds at the event led Bell's founder and president Larry Bell to announce his intentions to pull his beer out. He makes a decent point that drunk people aren't the most conscious of their financial decisions, but aren't most political fundraisers like that anyway?
