With the opening of Southern Nosh, a vegetarian-pescatarian soul establishment on Southfield's Northwestern Highway, the ever-popular Beans and Cornbread has expanded, sort of. Owner Patrick Coleman told the Freep's Sylvia Rector that their target market is "folks who want to eat a plant-based diet," which seems obvious, but no matter. The real concern here is that if Detroit Vegan Soul doesn't open soon, they just might lose out on the suburban vegetarian soul market. [Freep]
