Bourdain Nabs Guns & Butter Popup Meal

Sarah Cox / CurbedDetroit

In his continued social media-fueled secret trip through the city, food personality and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain stuck to his bases last night, showing up at one of three hidden popup dinners put on by Craig Lieckfelt and Co. of locally buzzy food folks Guns & Butter.

A photo from an Eater Detroit source readily shows Bourdain — and Fox 2 media maverick / Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Charlie LeDuff — enjoying a six-course tasting menu with matching wine pairings, as well as the assembled mixed company.

There's still no word if Bourdain will be leaving the Motor City anytime soon. A tweet he sent last night before the Guns & Butter event praised the service at Mitch's Bar in Midtown.

As always, we'll keep to the twitterverse for signs and portents of the upcoming Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown episode based in the city. If you see Bourdain, say Bourdain. And let us know. Or at least post a picture on Instagram.
