BLOOMFIELD HILLSZak Sklar's restaurant MEX will start serving brunch on December 14th, which is kind of unusual for a Mexican restaurant. The offerings will be things like breakfast skillets, Huevos Rancheros, breakfast burritos, and breakfast tacos. Dessert includes Mexican pancakes with chocolate and cinnamon and Tres Leches, and of course the obligatory Bloody Mary bar will be a feature. Hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.[-ED-]

DETROITGuns & Butter is taking not just the US, but the world by storm at this point, hosting dinners in LA, partnering with Shinola for their Singapore launch, and now popping up in Dubai. They're partnering with Rolling Stone Middle East for this weekend's four dinners, each of which only seats 28 guests. [Facebook]

SALINE— There is a new gourmet hot dog place called Detroit Dog Co. in Saline, with plans (already!) to expand into Ann Arbor in the next year or so. The restaurant is the culmination of local owner Catrina Vlisides' passion for hot dogs and desire to follow in her family's restauranteur footsteps. The hot dogs are largely inspired by Chicago, and it's not a coney joint, so the name Detroit Dog Co. (especially given that it's not in the city) seems a little like a stretch, but she'll be using sausage from Dearborn and produce from Eastern Market, so maybe it'll all work out. [MLive]
