Yesterday was the 80th anniversary of Repeal Day, the end of Prohibition, and local bar Tommy's celebrated with tours of the basement, which was once a real live speakeasy. Wayne State University's anthropology department and Preservation Detroit have been excavating the basement. [Detroit News]
