Rodin Chef Kate Williams Leaving

Photo Rodin Facebook

Well looks like Midtown's Rodin is going to be undergoing some big changes, as Chef Kate Williams is leaving to pursue other things and Rodin is going to move in another culinary direction.

Eat It Detroit has the inside scoop that Kate Williams and Rodin owner Torya Schoeniger are parting amicably, but that Schoeniger wanted to do more live music and heavy hors d'oeuvres (charcuterie, cheese plates, and the like) while Williams wants to focus on her passion, French cuisine. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Schoeniger has changed plans. The story goes that Rodin's small kitchen wasn't exactly conducive to Williams' vision, and supposedly she is going to be doing something super awesome but for now super secret in the near future. Updates will definitely be coming.
