Eater NY posted a story today about a man stealing a sous-vide machine from a NYC restaurant, but what's even better is that the interviewed chef, Christophe Hille of Northern Spy Food Co. in NY, mentioned an old story from The Rattlesnake Club here in Detroit.
Supposedly there was a line cook at The Rattlesnake Club (in the 90's or earlier) who used to regularly steal beef tenderloin from the restaurant by strapping it to his leg and walking out. Supposedly he also kept a gun in his locker. And supposedly he got caught for both of those things, and got in trouble.
