Yesterday was a big day as both Two James Spirits and Detroit Institute of Bagels won grants and were congratulated by Senator Carl Levin. The very first mini grant from the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy was awarded to Two James Spirits yesterday morning.
Late last night the distillery posted a picture and note of thanks to their Facebook page:
Great morning at the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy Breakfast hosted by Detroit Institute of Bagels. Two James Spirits is honored to be the first grant recipient. Many thanks to Zachary & Associates. And special thanks to Senator Carl Levin, it was an honor to meet you.
According to a Free Press article the grants require the businesses operate for five years minimum, so look forward to at least a half decade of bagels and booze in Corktown.
