Mo Better Blues Surprise Soft Opening

New, 2 comments

After finally acquiring a liquor license late on Friday night, Downtown's Mo Better Blues has quietly opened with a limited menu and little fanfare besides a friends and family opening celebration on Saturday night, and the paper that obscured the floor to ceiling windows of the corner restaurant for months has finally come down.

The restaurant has big plans for their grand opening, which they have mentioned on their brand new Facebook page. The official opening should be taking place soon (that's all we can say for now) but they are currently open and ready for business. Owner Gerald Watson II says that the American and Soul inspired menu is limited for their soft opening and will change once they officially open, but he said that the catfish and chicken and waffles have been particularly well received so far. The "Jazzy bistro with a soulful flavor" is one of the year's most anticipated openings, bringing another dining and nightlife option to visitors, workers, and residents of the Grand Circus Park area.
