DETROIT/METRO DETROIT— Detroit Moxie is back with their Weekend Roundup of events in and around the city. There isn't a ton on their list this weekend, but there is the Detroit Fall Beer Festival, a new photo exhibition featuring shots of Duly's Place at Great Lakes Coffee, and trick or treating for kids at the Detroit Historical Museum. [Detroit Moxie]
MICHIGAN— MLive already sought out Michigan's best brewery, and now they've set their sights on finding Michigan's best pizza. They're asking for suggestions on where to stop on their tour of Northern MI and the Upper Peninsula (that's some dedication right there) so go ahead and help them out. [MLive]
MIDTOWN— Great Lakes Coffee is doing a tap takeover of Jolly Pumpkin and North Peak beers to coincide with the Michigan Brewer's Guild Festival Friday and Saturday. They're also introducing growlers, because more beer is generally a good choice. Check out Facebook for more information including pricing and times. [ED]
MICHIGAN— Restaurants featuring local and seasonal ingredients are increasing in popularity not just in the suburbs, but in the city of Detroit itself, but what does that mean for the environment? Michigan Radio interviews UofM lecturer Dr. Margot Finn about eating locally, when it's good for the environment and when it isn't. [Michigan Radio]
