DOWNTOWN— Fans of the inimitable Cafe d'Mongo's will be treated to something a little different on Saturday, November 2nd, as the speakeasy will be celebrating Diwali, the Indian festival of lights. The speakeasy will be transformed as a mango based cocktail and traditional Indian food will be available, servers will wear Indian garb, and Indian Music will be played late in the evening. This event is the fifth in a series of events called "Crossroads of Culture" held at the cafe. [Facebook]

DETROITDr. Sushi followers will be happy to learn that he's catering holiday parties with live sushi bar (as in making it there, not killing fish there), cocktail bar, and street food. Check out the official page for more details. [Facebook]
